CONSERVATION INITIATIVES

Step into our Interpretation Center to learn more about our commitment to nature conservation and social development in the communities surrounding our resort. We encourage you to participate in and thereby support these with us.

On our resort property you can see where we grow spices, fruits and vegetables to supply our kitchen with natural produce. Our namesake Cardamom is the first such plant you will encounter when you step into the farming walkway behind the Ayurvedic center.

We have taken every effort to provide comfort. Behind every comfort there is also a dedicated effort to eliminate or reduce the impact to the environment.

The resort has its own comprehensive rain water harvesting system in addition to a natural water harvesting pond. Additionally, two more wells have been added to the property through an activity initiated by the resort staff itself. No water is sourced from outside our property.

Our solar water heating system provides for a majority of our room requirements.

Water to the flush tanks is channeled through gravity water flow which helps avoid the use of an electric motor pump. This helps save almost 3 units of power per day, amounting to 1095 units in a year.

We use energy-efficient bulbs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) at our properties.

Our complimentary slippers are made of jute rather than cloth and we provide bio-products in rooms. We also encourage our patrons to re-use their linen if and when possible to help conserve energy. We also give discounts to those who participate in our efforts.

RAXA Collective also works together with local citizens, businesses and various levels of government to support a wide range of causes.
